Good afternoon all, With the end of June, beginning of July comes our annual changing of the guard. But first of all, congratulations for Texas Cup team on bringing back the Texas Cup trophy for the third time this year. Our team was certainly tested by the weather and Houston Tennis Club on their home turf. Thanks to Mikael and Phillip for gathering the team and coordinating with our sister clubs.
As for Board changes, we just had our nominations period end and all candidates proposed were unopposed and defaulted to their nominated positions. For the changes, we have:
Ken D., Outgoing Secretary - Ken has been a reliable source of strength and comfort for us. He served as VP and then transitioned to Secretary. He has made many contributions to the club including the thankless and demanding task of preparing for our Heart Of Texas Tournament. With his fundraising efforts, he has helped raise money for our tournament to donate to OutYouth. We thank you for being there for us Ken!
Patrick P., Outgoing Membership Coordinator - Patrick has been our friendly face to new members for quite a while. We will miss his presence when coordinating Social Tennis and obscure dad humor. He has helped us gain new members and ease them into how our club works. We hope to run into you on the courts with your dogs, Mouse and Bear.
Our newest additions
Garrett C., Incoming Social Coordinator - Garrett has been a member for almost a year now. Garrett previously volunteered to help bake our delicious cookies for HoT 20 and volunteered in other areas of the tournament as well. Garrett is an expert at coordinating social events that are famously top notch and his gelato is to die for!
Erwin B., Incoming Membership Coordinator - Erwin has been on the board for a few years now and has proven himself a jack of all trades when it comes to all things Austin Tennis Club. Erwin is an H.R. maven and incredible asset to the ATC board. Moreover, Erwin is the perfect fit for membership coordinator as he’s always on the lookout for new players.
Caleb P., Incoming Secretary - Caleb is one of the friendliest and most honorable members of ATC. As a long standing member, Caleb knows the ins and outs of ATC and his presence on the board is immeasurably valuable.
